The course is ideal for therapists working with all level of athletes in the sport of swimming. The course will provide an overview of working at a swimming competition and how massage therapy fits into a swimmer’s program. The practical portion will include techniques on pre-event and post-event massage as well as the treatment of key injuries and how to identify them before they become an issue. This course will touch on working with athletes with a physical disability, providing the participant with a better understanding of how disabilities are integrated into sport and modifications a therapist can make to address the needs of these athletes

CSMTA members, CCMH/Kikkawa faculty and students
Minimum amount of participants are required to proceed with this course, if this minimum is not met course may be cancelled and participants reimbursed or funding can be put towards a future course of interest.
